We are a colorful primary school in the heart of Wirges. Around 230 children in 12 classes, a dedicated team of teachers, special education teachers, educational specialists, language support teachers, and social pedagogues — at our school, children learn, laugh, and grow together.

Wirges Primary School

Theodor-Heuss Primary School is located on the edge of the city of Wirges in close proximity to the Theodor-Heuss Stadium and neighboring the Realschule Plus Wirges and Katharina Kasperschule.

The primary school currently teaches approximately 230 students in 12 classes.

Since 2016, Wirges Primary School has been a focus school. Two special education teachers and three educational specialists provide additional support for students with special needs.

Our school is one of 4000 schools that has been included in the Startchancenprogramm by the federal government and the state government.

Goals of this program: reducing the number of students who fall short of minimum standards, personal development, strengthening basic competencies in reading/writing/mathematics, more equal opportunities, and professionalization.
