Special Recognition - 72 Children Achieve the Sports Badge in 2025

We are delighted about a very special award! Sparkasse Westerwald-Sieg presented our school with a certificate and a check for 720 €. Recognition for the fact that our students completed a total of 72 sports badges in the past year 2025. A great success that we are all very proud of!

For the sports badge, the children had to demonstrate their skills in various disciplines such as long-distance running, long jump, rope skipping and swimming.

With endurance, jumping power, coordination and throwing strength, our children have shown how versatile and performance-ready they are. This commitment once again proves that sport has a very special place for us at Grundschule Wirges, not only in lessons, but also beyond. We are proud of every single achievement!

Our heartfelt thanks go to our two PE teachers Mrs. Letschert and Mrs. Kegler, who accepted the award on our behalf. 👏
