Ninja Warrior Day

In the second-to-last school week before the Christmas holidays, the students of Grundschule Wirges experienced an exciting "Ninja Warrior Day". This special event, organized by the school's sports department, aimed to promote the children's athletic talents while strengthening their agility and self-confidence. Early in the morning, even before regular classes began, the teachers, together with caretaker Dirk Kaltenbach and his team, transformed the gymnasium into an exciting obstacle course.

Inspired by the popular TV show "Ninja Warrior", it offered a variety of challenges, including climbing structures, zip lines and balance beams. The students demonstrated impressive performances in strength, endurance and agility. Particularly pleasing was the enthusiastic participation of all grade levels.

From first graders to fourth graders, the children bravely tackled the various challenges. The PE teachers emphasized how important it is to provide children with a wide range of movement and sports experiences.
