"Paws Off!" – Prevention Theater Enthusiastically Received by the 2nd Graders

"Paws Off!" – Prevention Theatre Captivates Our Second Grade Classes

Our second grade classes got to start today: they were the first to experience the puppet theatre performance "Paws Off!" at the Wirges Community Centre. With plenty of wit, music, and age-appropriate sensitivity, the play conveyed important messages to the children – that their own bodies belong to them, that they can say "no," and that they are never responsible for inappropriate behaviour.

The children participated with great enthusiasm and attention. The serious topic was packaged in such a child-friendly and humorous way that it clearly reached and strengthened the girls and boys.

Over the course of the week, more classes from our school will have the opportunity to visit the successful performance at the Wirges Community Centre.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club Montabaur and the Paws Off! e.V. association, led by initiator Irmi Wette, for this valuable prevention project. We also thank Mayor Markus Schlotter and District Mayor Alexandra Marzi, who have taken on the patronage of this event.

The Paws Off! e.V. association provides further information and follow-up materials about the play to the participating classes; you can also find more information at www.pfoten-weg.de.

To conclude the prevention week, the organisers cordially invite you to the free "Paws Off!" Family Day:
